The first photo shows the entire order. Armoured Cuirassiers, leaders and two big blocks of cavalry.
It´s more cavalry than I need but I´d like to have a surplus. I haven´t yet decided on how much cavalry I will have per base.
It´s leaning towards 8, but could end up at 10. It´s a balance between getting that massed appearance that I want and reducing time to paint. As you might remember, November is cavalry month.
I need 20 units of horse to play Edgehill. The cuirassiers are to portray the elite units in the game, such as Essex lifeguard, Bedford or the King´s lifeguard. (Edit: More importantly, in later battles, Haselrigges famous "Lobsters")
The mounted leaders will, with some cuirassier as bodyguards, be used as the various leaders in the game. I´m toying with the idea of using circular bases for the leaders, to set them apart.

Your guys are looking awesome - I really hope I can join a game of M&P Tabletop some day.
BTW, are you planning to do something alike for a 30YW scenario?

Thanks Asko, yes I can forget a social life until the end of November :-) I hope we´ll meet at some convention soon and then we´ll play this.
30YW is always the ultimate goal, when Baccus does the figures that is. But I´m taking baby steps: first Edgehill, then 1st Newbury, then the full map battles from TACW. Only then will I tackle the 30YW battles from the other games in the M&P series.
I have not been to a gaming convention since...well the early 90's I guess. Time to change that.
Your schedule sounds good - to take on the smaller ones in TACW first and then move on to larger battles sounds like a plan. Keep up the good work wetting my mouth with pictures here! Cheers.

Thanks for the invitation. I would love to participate but I'm afraid November will be a busy month for me anyway and also Helsinborg is quite a bit away from where I live so I can't just pop over.
Hopefully we may arrange something M&P related in between our cities in the future where I more easily can attend...like Friendly Fire or LinCon next year?

LinCon could be it if we survive the upcoming winter. :-)
Down here in Scania it´s more like "winter", a long dark autumn with all the downsides but none of the fun of a real winter.
OK, Lincon is now in the calendar! It´s good to have a date to look forward too, even if it changes later on. This will give me lots of time to complete more battles for my project too.
Great. And I will have time to really be familiar with the M&P rules by then. Now this is something to look forward to.
By then I will have a much larger game mat as well, so we could play one of the bigger battles. 2nd Newbury is my favourite battle, that could be something to work towards.
